Credit Cards: Visa, Master & American Express Cards are accepted & widely used in many touristy places as hotels Nile cruise gift shops & travel agents also credit machines are available for cash withdrawal in Local currency credit cards can also be used for cash advances from many branches of Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt as well as Thomas Cook
Travelers' checks: Can be easily changed to local currency at any Bank but you must have your passport & must be signed in front of the bank employer, it is not accepted by many travel agent in Egypt. |
